Maggie: Eleven Months

Measurements: Weight:  18-19? lbs Length:  about 30in Feeds:  nurses 3-4 times a day (some feedings are replaced with a formula bottle); 1 squeeze pouch at meals + several tablespoons of whatever we're having for dinner;  occasional  puffs/cheerios/crackers for as a distraction/entertainment Diapers:   Tots Bots, Bum Genius 4.0s, Thirsties pockets and AIO, and Bottom Bumpers OS.  Size 3 in disposables (at night) Clothes:   12 month and 12-18 months; unpacking the 18 months Shoes:  none, but we had her feet measured at size 3.5 Teeth:  two bottoms; two tops (teething for those lateral  incisors ) Firsts: 2/13/15 Trip to Savannah & met cousin Ellie 2/17/15 goes from laying to sitting (but only in her crib!) 2/18/15 Ash Wednesday & received ashes 2/24/15 says  "Ike" (Spike) and "dg" (dog) 2/26/15 started crawling a few little steps 3/1/15 full on steady crawler 3/2/15 says, "Hi" an...

When It Rains, It Pours - Our Crazy Little Life Lately

I keep sitting down to blog and have nothing too exciting to report, but things have been absolutely crazy around here.  When it rains, it pours, right? Let's start with a few weeks ago -- Evie.   Eric and I caught her limping. I took off her shoes to see if her feet were swollen. Maybe she had been hurt and we didn't know?  When I took off her socks her feet were enflamed, peeling and blistering.  How did we miss this?  Of course it was Friday night just after her pediatrician closed for the weekend.  Saturday morning it was worse. The blisters were now oozing.  I took her to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.  The doctor told me she had a terrible case of Athlete's Foot that was now a bacterial infection as well.  During the foot exam the doctor did the routine eye/ear/lungs/heart check on Evie.  She asked me a few questions and then left the room. Maggie: Five Months

Measurements: Weight:  14.5 lbs (I am guessing) Length:  26-27 inches Feeds:  5 times a day, the morning feeding is getting longer with an afternoon feeding becoming more of a snack. She goes from 9-7ish at night between feedings Diapers:   Thirsties Size 1, full sized Tots Bots (middle rise!) and Bum Genius 4.0s;  and size 2 in disposables (at night).  We packed up the Tots Bots Tiny Fits this month Clothes:   outgrowing some 6 months, wearing mostly 6-9, 9 and 6-12 months. Shoes:  none Teeth:  none Firsts: 8/23/14 - Baptism 8/24/14 - Day in Exersaucer 8/26/14 - First Boat Day 8/29/14 - Road Trip to Beaufort 8/30/14 - Meeting Aunt Jo 9/7/14 - Rolled Over (at Grandmas!) Likes: A warm bath Laughing with Evie Time in the Exersaucer Sucking on her fingers Sitting in her high chair watching all the kitchen action Dislikes: Not having a regular nap (Time for a schedule)...

Maggie: Three Months

Measurements: Weight: 12 or 12.5lbs, I'm guessing Length: probably close to 25 inches Feeds: about 15 minutes every 2.5 to 4 hours during the day, and goes about 9-10 hours at night Diapers:  Tiny Fit Tots Bots, and moving into Thirsities Size 1 and regular all-in-one or pocket diapers;  and size 2 in disposables (at night) Clothes:  Packed up the last of the 3 month dresses, fully in a size 6 months.  Some 3-6 months are too small! Shoes: none Teeth: none Firsts: June 15 - Father's Day! June 20 - First "emergency" doctor's visit June 29 - Fr. Brian's First Mass and received her first First Blessings from him ( First time holding hands with a boy... Maggie: Two Months

Measurements: Weight : from 7lbs 14 oz (birth) to 11lbs 5.5 oz (65%) Length:   from 20.5 inches (birth) to 24 inches (97%) Feeds : About 15-20 minutes about every 2.5-4 hours during the day, and every 5-9 hours at night Diapers:   Tiny Fit Tots Bots cloth diapers, and size 1 disposables (at night) Clothes:  Fits great in 3 month clothes, but ready for 6 month in footie pajamas! Shoes:  none Teeth:  none Firsts: May 8 - Five+ Hour night time sleep stretch May 16 - Non-family member babysitter May 19 - Social Smile May 23 & 24 - Spent two long days with Nana & Grandpa while Mom & Dad were at a wedding  May 29 - Trip to the cabin June 2 - Sleep through the night (9:30-6:30) June 9 - First vaccinations Milestones: Following objects with her eyes Grasping our finger or tiny toys in her hand Social smiles Can recognize Mommy, Daddy and Evie Slowly outgrowing the crazy hiccups Lifts feet and wigg...
