Evie's Third Birthday Party

I can't believe it's been over a month already since we celebrated our sweet Evie turning THREE! We had a simple family party at our house. We made a decadent nacho bar for lunch. (Easy and fun for our family with a million food issues). And since Evie loves Moe's we sprung for Moe's queso to top the nachos.

My mom made us a generic "Happy Birthday" banner to keep for family birthdays in the future. I bought some pom poms to double use for my sister in law's baby shower and Evie's birthday. Wham bam thank you ma'am.

I asked Evie if she wanted a cake or something else for her birthday dessert. She chose ice cream sandwiches for her birthday dessert.

They were a crowd pleaser, for sure! Great choice, Evie.

Evie loved celebrating turning three with her aunts, uncles and grandparents. She especially enjoyed all the new games, LeapBand watch, books, and dress up clothes! Thanks everyone.

Thank you to my sister for grabbing the camera and taking photos! I'm glad we have something to remember the day with.

Nathan: Six Months

WE’RE DEBT FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Before you celebrate with us, make sure you've read Elizabeth's Story , Eric's Story , and How We Climbed Out of Debt . Two and a half years of gazelle-ish-like intensity + the few months prior as emotional primer and slowed spending, we made it! We paid off over $50,000. We have two car titles. Closed credit card accounts. Statements from one student loan (and one on the way!) with a $0.00 balance. All our debt with Eric’s parents is paid off. It’s. All. Gone. We also paid for my 3 semesters of grad school in cash. Paid a second car accident in cash (it was minor compared to the first one). Went to Nicaraga on a Mission Trip in cash. Went on a 5 day Puerto Rican vacation in cash. We’re up to date on medical expenses for the baby in cash. All while squeezing in travel for weddings , babies, family reunions, half-marathons , mini-vacations and to see out of town friends...in cash! ...

Evie: Five Years

Where has the time gone? Our first born is FIVE! One whole hand. Three months late is better than never. We love you sweet Evie Girl! Weight: 48lbs Length/Height: 44 inches Eats: 3 full meals, 1-2 snacks, 10-15oz of water, 5oz of almond milk Diapers: Pull Ups at Night Clothes: 6-7 or 7-8 Shoes: 12W Teeth: All are accounted for, nothing loose yet Sleep: 8pm-7:30am + a rare, but welcomed car nap every few months Milestones: Evie went to PT this year for poor muscle tone and a weak core. A lot of this was due to (but also contributing to) her constipation history. After 4 months of weekly physical therapy and diligently doing her homework, Evie caught up to her peers. She's been seeing another specialist for her tummy. She's not 100% on her medication, but we haven't had any set backs or any more vomiting or constipation. Evie can do basic addi...
